Watch ‘South Park’ and win prizes — maybe even an appearance in the show
Tape the other shows airing at
9 p.m. Wednesdays and watch “South Park” on Comedy Central. Not only are Eric, Kyle, Kenny and Stan back with new adventures for Season 13, but one lucky viewer will appear in the Season 14 premiere in March.
For the next six weeks, the show is holding a “Become a South Park Citizen” watch and win sweepstakes. Simply look for the hidden alien in each episode and then enter online at www. SouthParkStudios.com for a chance to win. (Note: the alien can only be seen in the broadcast version, not the version that replays online). (Another note: entries must be received by 8 p.m. the day following the broadcast of the episode).
In addition to the grand prize — which includes the winner’s likeness as a South Park character in next season’s premiere, a framed “South Park” poster featuring the character and signed by the show’s co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the entire “South Park” DVD collection and a $50 iTunes gift card — more than 10,000 weekly prizes will be awarded.
OK, it’s actually 10,001 weekly prizes. The first prize is a “South Park” prize pack that includes a t-shirt, a South Park: The Totally Sweet DVD Game, a South Park Episode Guide: Volume 1 and a free download of South Park: Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! Xbox Live Arcade Game. The second prize, of which 10,000 will be awarded, is an unlock code for the Professor Chaos playable character in South Park: Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! Xbox Live Arcade Game.
Worth playing for? The show is certainly worth watching, even without the prizes.
