Hi Ty: My family and I really enjoy watching your show. We are in the process of wathching the first show of the season the Huber family. They have a fuel oil tank in their basement. We are fuel oil distributors in central Ohio and have been in business for over 50 years. You mentioned that they had a bomb in their basement. You should get your facts right before you say that. You want a bomb, use propane or natural gas. Fuel oil WILL NOT EXPLODE! This is a very common form of heat in the east. It is very warm and economical. People that are not educated on fuel oil are now scared to death after what you said. Better have your producers do their research next time before messing around with peoples liveihood.

I agree with Jennie. The part about the fuel oil tank being a dangerous bomb is such a pile of BS. I have two tanks…want to build me a new house? When was the last time there was ever anything in the news about a heating oil tank blowing up? I hear about natural gas explosions at least once per year here in New England. You should hire better fact checkers and shame on you for being so clueless.

Ty you have done a disservice to home heating oil distributors nationwide and have lossed immense credibility with your lack of research and expertise in your “reference” to a heating oil tank being a bomb in a basement. You owe it to your listeners who are second and third generation oil customers to set the record straight.
Oil is safe. It will not explode. In fact, you can throw a match into a pail of heating oil and it will extinquish. Shame on you Ty! Shame on you

What happend to Preston and why did you put that political moron Patricia Heaton on the show, you should not give that woman any more air time. Look up the Terry Schiavo case and what that woman did…..

The fuel oil stunt was shameless. If Mr. Huber is actually a fireman, he would know Ty lied a couple of times about heating oil. In environmental religion once again, the propaganda for the purpose of creating an illusion of a righteous agenda trumps the facts.

I am asking for some help for my daughter. She just lost her 10 month old daughter in December. She has a 8 year old and is 5 months pregnant now. Her house is falling in. She has lost her husband, in May of 2009. He never even knew he was going to be a father again.
