New “Castle” on TV and in book stores

  castle Mystery novelist Richard Castle is
the subject of the ABC series “Castle,” which premiered in March and returns for its second season Sept. 21.
   And he is providing the show with more potential subject matter with the Sept. 29 release of his new novel, “Heat Wave.” The first five chapters can be downloaded for free at www.ABC.com, and five more will be posted (one chapter per week).
   In “Heat Wave,” Castle introduces the new character Nikki Heat, a NYPD homicide detective who carries a passion for justice. She’s hit with an unexpected challenge when the commissioner assigns superstar magazine journalist Jameson Rook to ride along with her to research an article on New York’s Finest.
   In the first season of the ABC series, Castle (played by Nathan Fillion) solves crimes and trades barbs with NYPD Detective Beckett (Stana Katic).

A nice change from “the usual” shows. Good chemistry with cast members. Fun. What a great change from the over worked and over rerun Law and Order shows
