Sean Algaier talks about ‘The Biggest Loser’
Sean Algaier from Glenpool is not
“The Biggest Loser” on the NBC weight-loss competition show. But he made the most of his three weeks on the ranch with trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper and the other 15 contenders for Season 8.
He even watched part of Tuesday’s episode, in which he and teammate Antoine Dove were eliminated, while on the phone with Tracey Yukich, who had a hand in sending them home.
“I said, ‘Tracey, you’re crazy, but I love you so much,’” Sean said of that conversation. “I want the best for her and I want her to have a successful weight loss.”
Sean, 30, is certainly having success. He lost 39 pounds while on the show and is now 150 pounds lighter than his starting weight of 444. He no longer drinks sodas and runs seven or so miles every day. He is even training for a marathon.
“A lot has changed since this started,” said Sean, a youth pastor at Jenks Church. “I really stress to my kids that being healthy is super important.
“I said from the beginning that I don’t care about the money or winning the show. I want my life back, and ‘The Biggest Loser’ gave me my life back. Everybody is doing so well, and I’m so proud of everybody.”
By the way, Sean and his wife are expecting their third child any day now, and they plan to name the baby girl Jillian.
“The name Jillian is beautiful, for sure, and it’s one of those things where we really wanted to mark this place in our life that was significant,” Sean said. “Jillian (Michaels) is an awesome person and did amazing things for us.”

‘The Doctors’ welcome ‘Three Rivers’ star Alex O’Loughlin
Alex O’Loughlin, who plays an
organ transplant surgeon in the new CBS medical drama “Three Rivers,” will be a guest on Friday’s installment of “The Doctors” (airing in Oklahoma City at 3 p.m. Oct. 2 on CBS).
He will disuss the importance of organ transplantation and how organ donors save lives. Joining him in the discussion will be Dr. Gonzalo Gonzalez-Stawinski, one of the nation’s leading heart surgeons and the inspiration behind the character O’Loughlin plays.
When O’Loughlin taped his appearance on the talk show, it wasn’t the first time he shared a stage with “The Doctors” co-host Dr. Travis Stork. The day before the taping, Dr. Stork made his acting debut on the set of “Three Rivers,” playing an anesthesiologist in a pivotal scene with O’Loughlin’s character in an upcoming episode.
Friday on “The Doctors,” viewers will get a sneak peek of Dr. Stork’s guest appearance on “Three Rivers,” and go behind-the-scenes of Dr. Stork doing something that he calls “completely out of his element.”

Happy Birthday, Lacey Chabert
Sept. 30, 2009 — Lacey Nicole Chabert, who played Claudia Salinger on “Party of Five” (1994-2000 ), turns 27 today.
She provides the voice of Gwen Stacy on “The Spectacular Spider-Man” (2008-09).
Her first acting role was as Princess in the 1991 TV movie “A Little Piece of Heaven.” She was 9.
Best wishes to Lacey and everybody who shares this special day with her.

Emmy-winning Oklahoma actress Kristin Chenoweth guest stars on ‘Glee’
Kristin Chenoweth graduated from
Broken Arrow High School in 1986. But she is going back to high school as a guest star on “Glee.”
In Wednesday’s episode (8 p.m. Sept. 30 on Fox), Chenoweth plays April Rhodes, a former classmate of Will Schuester’s at McKinley High School. And since April didn’t graduate, Will, now the school’s Glee Club coach, asks her to come back and join his team.
Chenoweth, who won an Emmy for her TV work on “Pushing Daisies” and a Tony for her Broadway role in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” will sing two songs in the episode titled “The Rhodes Not Taken.” She will perform “Maybe This Time” from “Cabaret” with Lea Michele (she plays Rachel Berry) and Heart’s song “Alone” with Matthew Morrison (he’s Will Schuester).
And Chenoweth’s character could be back on “Glee.”
“I’d love to come back and do more,” she said. “It’s written in a way that I could, but I’ll just leave that out there like a lingering B-flat.”
Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel on “Glee,” would love for Chenoweth to return. While filming this episode, Colfer told The Los Angeles Times that for him, “working with Kristin is what I can imagine what a priest would go through if they worked with Jesus.”

Bye, Bye ‘Beautiful Life’; The CW cancels series after two episodes
Two episodes is not enough for a series to gain a following. But not enough viewers were following “The Beautiful Life: TBL” from the start.
So after two episodes, The CW has pulled the show co-created by Ashton Kutcher (”That ’70s Show”) off its schedule.
A mere 1.5 million viewers tuned in to the Sept. 16 premiere, and only 1.05 million returned to see the second episode Sept. 23. Filling its 8 p.m. Wednesdays time period starting Sept. 30 will be encore airings of “Melrose Place.”
At first glance, it appeared life would be good for “The Beautiful Life.” The show followed a group of models living together in New York, and it followed “America’s Top Model” on the schedule. But “Top Model” viewers are down for the show’s 13th season.
There is some good news from The CW, though. “One Tree Hill,” which opened Season 7 on Sept. 14, has been given a full-season order. And nine more scripts have been ordered for “The Vampire Diaries,” which premiered Sept. 10.
