Tickets to the 2009 Emmy Awards are available. But for those who don’t want to pay $675 for a seat in the Mezzanine or $3,580 for a spot in the Orchestra section, enter the “Best Seat in the House Contest.”
The winner gets an all-expense paid trip to attend the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and will be seated next to TV’s biggest stars during the ceremony airing live at 7 p.m. Sept. 20 on CBS.
To enter, go to www.CBS.com and upload a 30-second video explaining why you are “TV’s Number One Fan.” It can be serious or silly, but it has to be submitted by Sept. 7 to be considered for the contest.
On Sept. 11, the Top 15 videos will be announced and posted online. The winner, who will be unveiled Sept. 18, will be determined by a panel judges from CBS.com, TV.com and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, who are looking for creativity (25%), originality (25%), body language (25%) and performing ability (25%).
Who knows? You could wind up sitting next to Denis Leary (“Rescue Me”) or Sandra Oh (“Grey’s Anatomy”) or Steve Carell (“The Office”).
