CMT auctions off autographed Carrie Underwood lyrics (and more!)
Checotah native Carrie Underwood has autographed a typed copy of the lyrics from her hit song “All-American Girl,” and it will go to the highest bidder.
It is one of several items donated by 2009 CMT Music Awards show participants and nominees that are being auctioned online at www.cmtauctions.com. All proceeds will benefit CMT One Country partners, which include Feeding America (formerly America’s Second Harvest), Boys & Girls Club of America, Habitat for Humanity, Hands On Network, the USO (United Service Organizations) and Children’s Miracle Network.
Bidding for Underwood’s autographed lyrics ends at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday (June 30). Other items featured in the 2009 CMT Music Awards Celebrity Auction include:
• Guitar signed by Brooks & Dunn
• Hat signed by Trace Adkins
• CD, hat and photo signed by Jason Aldean
• Lyrics, photo, CD, single and t-shirt signed by Rodney Atkins
• Prize package signed by the Eli Young Band
• Large Carter Twins print
• Cowboy hat signed by Kenny Chesney
• Prize package signed by presenter Terry Fator
• T-Shirt signed by Julianne Hough
• Calendar and CD signed by Heidi Newfield
• Handmade hunting arrow and CD from Ted Nugent
• Guitar signed by Darius Rucker
• Poster signed by the Lost Trailers
• Australia jacket signed by Keith Urban
This auction is just one way CMT is helping aid good causes. Another good deed by the network was doing away with the traditional artist gift bags for the 2009 CMT Music Awards and donating $20,000 to Feeding America. That donation will provide meals for 130 children during the entire 2009-2010 school year through the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee’s BackPack Program.
