‘Biggest Loser’ casting call in Oklahoma
Don’t read anything into this, but
casting producers for “The Biggest Loser” are coming back to Oklahoma in search of Season 9 contestants.
The central location makes the state an ideal place to hold auditions. And the turnout for past casting calls — more than 500 hopefuls from Oklahoma and surrounding states braved rain and cold to meet with producers during the last two auditions in Oklahoma City — is an added bonus.
Heat will likely be the element to withstand for a chance to meet casting producers for Season 9 of “The Biggest Loser.” The open auditions will be held July 25 at O’Connell’s Irish Pub and Grill on Norman’s Campus Corner. As many contenders as possible will be seen from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., but it’s always best to be on site when the line starts forming at 7 a.m.
Casting producers have also scheduled auditions in 14 other cities — June 27 in Chicago, Detroit, San Jose, CA, and Tampa, FL; July 11 in Atlanta, Mobile, AL, New York City and San Antonio; July 18 in Dallas, Kansas City, Philadelpia and Phoenix; July 25 in Des Moines, IA; and Aug. 1 in Los Angeles.
And this go-round, the show is seeking family teams of two (parents and children, siblings, husbands and wives, couples, cousins and in-laws).
Of course, everybody with an outgoing personality, desire and competitive edge is encouraged to audition for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lose weight and compete for a grand prize of $250,000. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and legal residents of the United States, however.
Season 9 of “The Biggest Loser” will air in early 2010, while Season 8 will premiere in September. For more details, go to www.nbc.com/casting.

Went in Feb. 2009, ten hours on line to see the casting director, she even asked me to send in additional photos which i sent that very night… still no word, still waiting, and still praying. Like many I would love to be chosen to be on the show. More than that.. I would do or give anything to be able to shed this weight. Been a fan since day one, cry every episode as I watch these people loose weight on that scale, and my only wish in life is to be there… when all else fails,,,,,, what does one do?
