‘American Idol’ auditions for Season 9 start Sunday (June 14)
Carrie Underwood from Checotah auditioned for Season 4 of “American Idol” in St. Louis.
David Cook from Tulsa attended the show’s Season 7 auditions in Omaha, Neb.
The next “American Idol” will be attending auditions in either Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando or Denver.
Those are the cities hosting auditions for Season 9 of “American Idol” scheduled to premiere in January 2010. Here are the dates and venues:
••June 14: Gillette Stadium in Boston
••June 18: Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
••June 22: United Center in Chicago.
••June 26: Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.
••June 30: Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
••July 9: Amway Arena in Orlando.
••July 14: Invesco Field in Denver.
Registration will begin at each venue two days prior to the audition day. Contestants will be given wristbands and seating tickets and will be asked to return on audition day. Registration will be accepted on audition day, but casting producers may run out of space or time to accommodate the last ones to register.
