NBC seeks short films from all genres

shortcuts  NBC dropped “Comedy” from its Fourth Annual Short Cuts Film
Festival. Just the word in the title, not the genre altogther.
The network execs still want to laugh, but they also want drama and horror and science fiction. And they are looking for filmmakers and actors and content producers to showcase their talent in the annual film festival sponsored by NBC Universal.
Submissions will be accepted through Aug. 21 at www.nbcshortcuts.com.
Films selected for the semifinals will be screened before an industry audience in conjunction with the New York Television Festival in September. Finalists will be invited to Los Angeles in October for an exclusive industry screening.
NBC Universal’s Short Cuts Film Festival was founded in 2005 to display and celebrate diversity in the entertainment industry. The objective is to allow creative individuals from every community the opportunity to present their material in front of key decision makers in the industry.
