‘Top Chef’ tour coming close to Oklahoma

“Top Chef” truck left New York for a 21-city tour. Oklahoma City isn’t one of the planned stops, but the truck’s stops do include Dallas (April 19), Little Rock (April 21) and St. Louis (May 27).
   Other stops on “Top Chef: The Tour 2″ include New Orleans (April 14), Houston (April 17), Nashville, Tenn. (Apil 24), Hopkinsville, Ky. (April 27), Louisville, Ky. (Kentucky Derby weekend May 1-2), Atlanta (May 4), Raleigh, N.C. (May 6), Washington D.C. (May 9), Westchester, N.Y. (May 13), Boston (May 15), Pittsburgh (May 20), Columbus, Ohio (May 23-24), Chicago (May 30-31), Des Moines, Iowa (June 6) and
Los Angeles (June 12-13).
   The 18-wheeler semi-truck, which expands outwards with a kitchen, stage, demonstration area and 60 seats under an enclosed canopy, will pull up to farmer’s markets, malls and food festivals and offer fans the opportunity to interact with the No. 1 food show on cable television. At each stop, two select “Top Chef” contestants will host three live interactive shows for fans in attendance. Other activities for attendees include playing the “Top Chef” trivia wheel for prizes, taking pictures with chef’testants and kaing oat-based smoothies using the “Top Chef” blender bikes powered by human energy.
