Oklahomans enjoy ‘ER’ moment

theuglysuit  Six Oklahoma guys had an “ER” moment on Thursday.
Although they didn’t follow the NBC series that closely in its 15 seasons — they weren’t even teenagers when it premiered — they did sing the song “Chicago” that was played during the “ER Retrospective” clip show that aired before the series finale.
“It was between us and an REM song, I think,” said Crosby Bray, vocalist and drummer for The Uglysuit. “I heard that the guy involved with picking the song was from Oklahoma and said, ‘Man, I want to support Oklahoma acts.’ It was all a big series of cool events that created this cool little happening.”
Bray, 21, graduated from Harvest Christian School along with fellow band members Colin Bray (vocalist, guitarist and his brother) and Israel Hindman (lead vocalist and guitarist). Rounding out The Uglysuit are Kyle Mayfield (Mid-Del Christian School graduate on vocals, guitar, bass and drums), Jonathan Martin (Christian Heritage Academy graduate on vocals, piano, organ and guitar) and new band member Austin Steiner from Guthrie (bass and guitar).
“I’ve always played praise and worship music, but we made up our own name for our style,” Crosby Bray said. “We call it cerebral opti-rock. As a whole, we make the music that makes people happy.”

What an awesome opportunity. The song fit perfectly. The Uglysuit’s self titled debut album is amazing and it’s available through itunes and most other digital music avenues. Way to go Uglysuit!!!
