Happy Birthday, Vanessa Williams

Directors Awards   March 18, 2009 — Vanessa Lynn Williams, who plays Wihelmina Slater on “Ugly Betty” (7 p.m. Thursdays on ABC), turns 46 today.
   She played Elizabeth Bauer on “South Beach” (2006 on UPN) and Det. Katherine Pierce on “Boomtown” (2003 on NBC).
   Her first acting role was as Roselle Robins in the series “Partners in Crime” (1984 episode titled “Celebrity”). She was 21.
   Best wishes to Vanessa and everybody who shares this special day with her.
