‘Biggest Loser’ casting producers back in Oklahoma City
NBC is coming back to Oklahoma City in search of contestants for “The Biggest Loser.”
But this time, casting producers are also looking for certified trainers to take part in Season 8 of the popular weight-loss show.
Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 21 at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill (310 Johnny Bench Dr). A line will form around 7 a.m. (not any earlier, though) and casting producers will make every effort to see everyone (although the first 500 people in line have the best chance).
Casting producers are looking for outgoing individuals or teams with the desire and competitive edge to lose weight (the $250,000 cash prize is a bonus).
The casting team is also interested in certified trainers with strong personalities who have a solid track record of taking the weight off of overweight clients. Nutritional credentials are a plus, and trainers applying must provide references.
Everybody attending the auditions needs to bring a non-returnable photo. And all applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legal residents of the United States.
If the Oklahoma City audition isn’t convenient, casting calls will also be held in New York City, Louisville, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Miami, Columbus, Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Diego. Go to www.nbc.com/casting for dates and details.
Or simply send in a video audition. That’s what Amanda and Neill Harmer of Bethany did. And they ended up in the top 8 during Season 5. (Pictured are Neill and Amanda before and after their “Biggest Loser” experience). Application forms and further details are available at www.nbc.com/casting.
