Adjustments needed with digital TV transition

digital-tv.jpg   It’s snowing on some TV sets in Oklahoma City, but the problem can be solved by rescaning the digital TV or converter box.
   Here’s what to do:
••Turn the converter box or digital TV set to Channel 3 or Channel 4.
••Look for the menu button and select the menu option.
••In the menu, select the settings, configurations or scanning options.
••Then select set-up, scan, tuning, acquire channels or a related option.
Each box or TV set uses different terminology, but the general wording deals with tuning the device to acquire channels.
The process can take between one to 10 minutes. After scanning is complete, hit “exit” or “return” on the remote to return to regular TV viewing (some devices may return to the main screen automatically).
That’s what needs to be done to be able to watch Oklahoma City stations OETA, KWTV, KOKH, KOCB and KAUT on televisions not connected to cable or satellite.
And keep these rescanning instructions handy, as this process should be done once a month to receive new digital channels being added at a later date.
