DirecTV is wonderful to “Wonderland”

Wonderland   “Wonderland” didn’t last long on ABC. Only two episodes aired before the show was pulled from the network’s schedule in spring of 2000.
But thanks to DirecTV, the show is getting a guaranteed eight-week run starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 14). And that’s not all. All eight “Wonderland” episodes — including six that were never aired — will air commercial free and in HD on DirecTV’s 101 Network.
“Wonderland” delves into the lives of doctors at a fictional New York psychiatric hospital. It stars Michelle Forbes (“In Treatment”), Billy Burke (“Fringe”),  Dax Griffin (“The Bold and the Beautiful”),  Martin Donovan (“Ghost Whisperer”) Michael Jai White (“The Dark Knight”), Ted Levine (“Monk”) and Patricia Clarkson (“Vicky Christina Barcelona”). Making guest cameos are Samuel L. Jackson (“Pulp Fiction”) and Jeremy Piven (“Entourage”).
Oklahoma-born Oscar-winning director Ron Howard (“A Beautiful Mind”) was an executive producer for “Wonderland.” That alone is worth giving it a look.

Just caught an episode, and this one seems pretty decent. The presenes of Michelle Forbes, alone makes it worth a look. Director Ron Howard, too, of course!! Intelligent, nicely-plotted, better than average drama. Please tell the people at DerecTV and 101 Network!!
