The winner of “SoapNet’s Best Worst Date Contest” will receive a “Virtual Boyfriend” for a year. Months of flower deliveries. Romantic text messages. Candy and jewelry, too.

SoapNet is sponsoring the contest in conjunction with its “Sugar-Free Valentine’s” programming event running Jan. 4 through Feb. 14. It will feature six weeks of shows and specials dedicated to that romantic day — but without all the gooey stuff.
