Happy Birthday, Paul Shaffer

Paul Shaffer   Nov. 28, 2008 — Paul Shaffer, who is the musical director on “Late Night With David Letterman” (10:35 p.m. weeknights on CBS), turns 59 today.
   He provided the voice of Hermes, the Messenger God on the Disney Channel shows “House of Mouse” (2001-02) and “Hercules” (1998-99).
   His first acting role was as Paul in the 1977 TV series “A Year at the Top” (lasted five episodes on CBS). He was 28.
   Best wishes to Paul and everybody who shares this special day with him.
