Happy Birthday, Alfre Woodard
Nov. 8, 2008 — Alfre Ette Woodard, who played Betty Applewhite on “Desperate Housewives” (2005-06 on ABC), turns 56 today. She was born and raised in Tulsa.
Her most recent TV role is as Mavis Heller in “My Own Worst Enemy” (9 p.m. Mondays on NBC).
Her first acting role was as Rita in the 1978 movie “Remember My Name.” She was 26.
Best wishes to Alfre and everybody who shares this special day with her.
