“Dancing” judge strikes a pose for PETA
Carrie Ann Inaba adopted a cat when it strolled into her apartment one day. But she knows that the best way to deal with the cat- and dog-overpopulation problem is to have male dogs and cats neutered and females spayed.
To help get the message across, the “Dancing With the Stars” judge joined forces with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) for a new ad campaign.
The ad features Inaba holding her cat, Shadow, and striking a Cabaret-style pose beside the tagline: “Don’t Miss a Step: Spay or Neuter Today!”
“It’s really important to spay and neuter your pets because there are so many,” Carrie Ann said in a PETA press release. “And what’s so sad is that people are breeding them, and then we’re putting them to sleep. I really wanted to be a part of (PETA’s ABC campaign) because if this is going to help spread awareness of the message about spaying and neutering, I’m going to be the first one to sign up.”
