Susan Lucci continues “Soap” streak

Susan Lucci   One streak ended when Susan Lucci finally won an Emmy for “All My Children.” She had received 19 nominations prior to taking home TV’s top prize in 1999.
But Lucci is keeping another streak alive. She has confirmed that she will be at the “ABC-SOAPnet Super Soap Weekend” Nov. 15 and 16 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla.
Lucci (pictured in ABC Photo at right) is the only ABC daytime star to attend the event every year since it began in 1996.
So far, 36 ABC daytime stars have announced they will be on hand at this year’s festivities that include celebrity motorcades, autograph sessions, game shows, interviews and the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind memorabilia from the shows.
“All My Children” attendees will includes Rebecca Budig, Bobbie Eakes, Melissa Claire Egan, Ricky Paull Goldin, Vincent Irizarry, Thorsten Kaye, Alicia Minshew, Eden Riegel, Aiden Turner and Darnell Williams.
“One Life to Live” attendees will include Kristen Alderson, Brandon Buddy, Kassie DePaiva, Michael Easton, Farah Fath, Susan Haskell, John-Paul Lavoisier, Erika Slezak, Jason Tam, Brittany Underwood and Bree Williamson.
“General Hospital” attendees will include Bradford Anderson, Brandon Barash, Julie Berman, Tyler Christopher, Jason Cook, Rebecca Herbst, Kimberly McCullough, Kelly Monaco, Kirsten Storms, Jason Thompson, Greg Vaughn and Laura Wright.
Sherri Shepherd, “The View” co-host, will return to the event for the second consecutive year and reunite with her Daytime Emmy Awards co-host, Cameron Mathison, to host the Colgate Total Street Jam. Also joining the list are “All My Children’s” Vincent Irizarry and “General Hospital’s” Kimberly McCullough and Greg Vaughan.
This will be the last “Super Soap Weekend,” though. In 2009, ABC will embark on a “Soap Nation Tour” that will offer greater access to stars in more cities.
