Search for “Next Food Network Star” begins
Attention amateur chefs! Professional chefs, too! The Food Network wants you!
The search is on for Season 5 contenders for “The Next Food Network Star.”
Open-call auditions will be conducted in six cities, although none are close to Oklahoma. Here are the dates and sites, regardless: Oct. 3 in Washington D.C. (The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Washington), Oct. 6 in New York City (Sutton Place), Oct. 15 in Los Angeles (The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California), Oct. 23 in Charleston, S.C. (The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Charleston), Oct. 23 in Portland, Ore. (Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront) and Oct. 29 in Philadelphia (Ebassy Suites Center City Philadelphia).
But don’t fret, Oklahoma food star hopefuls. Applicants can also submit a 3-minute audition video. For applications and contest rules, go to www.FoodNetwork.com and click on “Be on Food Network.”
Hurry, though. The search for the next Food Network personality ends Oct. 31. The show’s fifth season is set to tape and air in 2009.
