‘Greek’ doing great
“Greek” broke three records with its second-season premiere episode that aired Aug. 26 on ABC Family.
In its sophomore opener, the comedy series about college campus life posted series highs in total viewers (1.6 million), viewers ages 12-34 (1.2 million) and females ages 12-34 (841,000).
Compared to its freshman debut in July 2007, the second season saw increases in:
◊Women ages 18-34 (134% more: 391,000 vs. 167,000)
◊Viewers ages 12-34 (103% more: 1.2 million vs. 592,000)
◊Adults ages 18-34 (102% more: 612,000 vs. 303,000)
◊Adults ages 18-49 (56% more: 792,000 vs. 508,000)
◊Total Viewers (46% more: 1.6 million vs. 1.1 million)
Here’s some even better news for Oklahoma’s “Greek” fans: On Sept. 5, one or two cast members will be on campus at the University of Oklahoma to sign autographs and meet students. It is not known yet which cast members will make the trip, but hopefully OU grad Danny Weaver (he plays Kappa Tau pledge Ben Bennett) will be one of them. He is pictured at far left doing push-ups with fellow cast members in the ABC Family photo above.
