ABC has announced the first set of presenters for Alfre Woodard“The 60th Annual Emmy Awards,” which will air live at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 on ABC.
No Oklahoma actors in the mix yet, but there probably will be.
Likely candidates are “Pushing Daisies” stars Lee Pace (he was born in Chickasha) and Kristin Chenoweth (she grew up in Broken Arrow). Both are nominated for their performances on the ABC show’s first season.
Another possibility is Tulsa native Alfre Woodard, who is nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a miniseries/movie for “Pictures of Hollis Woods.” She will be starring in the new NBC series “My Own Worst Enemy” that premieres Oct. 13.
Here are confirmed Emmy presenters so far:
“Desperate Housewives’” Marcia Cross, Dana Delany, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria Parker and Nicollette Sheridan, who will present together.
Tina Fey (“30 Rock”) and Amy Poehler (“Saturday Night Live”), who will present together.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“The New Adventures of Old Christine”) and Hugh Laurie (“House”), who won’t present together.
“It’s always fun to come up with unique pairings, cast reunions and surprising personalities as presenters on the Emmy show, and this year we’ve got a number of those, beginning with our first presenter announcement,” said Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich. “And the good news is, we’ve got plenty more to come.”
