The official start of the 2008-2009 Primetime Network season is Sept. 22. It traditionally begins the day after Emmys have been handed out for outstanding performances from the previous TV season, and the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards are scheduled for Sept. 21 on ABC.
But that doesn’t mean networks will wait until Sept. 22 to premiere new shows and new episodes of returning favorites. No, that begins any time and any day anymore.
Here’s a list of fall premiere dates, although all are subject to change at any time (new series are in green type):
Monday, Aug. 25
7 p.m. — Deal or No Deal (NBC)(returns on next three Mondays, then resumes its regular Wednesday and Friday timeslot in October)
