It is not known yet which cast members will make the trip, but hopefully OU grad Danny Weaver (he plays Kappa Tau pledge Ben Bennett) will be one of them. Oklahoman still among ‘America’s Most Wanted’
Saturday’s installment of “America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back” will feature a segment on an Oklahoma fugitive still at-large.
Oklahoma City’s fugitive task force is still looking for Kenneth Cofer, who is accused of killing Larry Buchanan in an argument over patriotism after the 9/11 attacks. Despite confusion about numerous lookalikes, Cofer is still a free man.
This is one of nine “America’s Most Wanted” segments scheduled to air from 8 to 9 p.m. Saturday on Fox.

Presley, King of Rockin’ Dogs
Two episodes of “Greatest American Dog” remain, and Perry natives Travis Brorsen and Presley are still in the running for the title and the $250,000 cash prize.
The season finale for the CBS competition series is Sept. 10, and the top three owner-and-dog teams will advance to the final episode.
Before the series began in July, Travis said “We can’t focus on the grand prize and winning the whole thing. We’ve got to focus on getting there without Presley running away.”
Presley, a 16-month-old boxer, didn’t run away on Wednesday when a 9,000 pound elephant came toward him (see CBS Photo at right). And he didn’t shy away from taking the plunge down a zip line.
Those performances landed Presley and Travis in the top four. The final three will be determined next Wednesday (Sept. 3) from 7 to 8 p.m. on CBS.
No matter what happens, Travis is so proud of what Presley has accomplished. He even wrote a “Greatest American Dog” tribute song to Presley that includes the line “Come on, Presley, you’re the king of rockin’ dogs.”
To hear a snippet of the song, listen to Penny and Pat’s podcast at newsok.com/tv. –Penny TV

ABC announces five new series pick-ups
ABC is adding five new series to its slate of programming for the 2008-09 season. The series include three new dramas, “Castle,” “Cupid” and “The Unusuals,” and two new comedies, “Better Off Ted” and “Single with Parents.”
◊“Castle” is a comedic crime procedural about a famous mystery novelist, Nick Castle, who is bored with his own success. When a real-world copycat murderer starts staging scenes from Nick’s novels, Nick is teamed up with NYPD Detective Kate Beckett and the challenge gets his blood pumping as he steps in to help solve the crime. Nick and Beckett’s styles instantly clash and sparks begin to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance. Nick is kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother, quick-witted teenage daughter and his long-suffering ex-wife… who happens to be his editor. “Castle” stars Nathan Fillion as Castle, Stana Katic as Beckett, Molly Quinn as Alexis, Susan Sullivan as Martha, Monet Mazur as Gina and Ruben Santiago-Hudson as Capt. Montgomery.
◊“Cupid” is a romantic dramedy about Trevor, a larger than life character who may or may not be the Roman god of love, Cupid, sent to earth to bring couples together. As fate would have it, Trevor is under the care of famous psychologist and self-help author Dr. Claire Allen, who is also dedicated to helping lonely hearts find their soul mates. While she agrees with his cause, she questions whether he’s crazy or really is Cupid. “Cupid” stars Bobby Cannavale as Trevor, Sarah Paulson as Claire, Rick Gomez as Felix and Camille Guaty as Lita.
◊“The Unusuals” is a unique comedic procedural set in a New York police precinct. As a cop, it helps to have a twisted sense of humor, because every moment could be your last. Just ask Casey Schraeger, who started her day as an NYPD vice detective before unexpectedly being transferred to the homicide division. She quickly realizes that, not only does everyone in her new department have a distinct sense of humor, but also their own dirty little secrets. “The Unusuals” stars Amber Tamblyn as Det. Casey Schraeger, Jeremy Renner as Det. Joe Walsh, Terry Kinney as Sgt. Harvey Brown, Kai Lennox as Det. Ed Alvarez, Harold Perrineau as Det. Leo Banks, Adam Goldberg as Det. Eric Delahoy, Monique Gabriela Curnen as Det. Allison Beaumont and Joshua Close as Henry Cole.
◊“Better Off Ted” is a satirical office comedy featuring a successful but morally conscious man, Ted, who runs a research and development department at a morally questionable corporation, Veridian Technologies. No achievement is too far fetched and no invention too unorthodox for Veridian. Need a suicidal turkey? Done. Need a metal that is hard as steel but bounces – and is edible? Done and done. Ted loves his seemingly perfect job; he loves his superhuman boss, Veronica, and colleagues Lem, Phil and Linda, but he’s starting to take a closer look at the company’s extremely questionable practices… especially when they try to cryogenically freeze one of Ted’s scientists for testing purposes. Stars Jay Harrington as Ted, Andrea Anders as Linda, Portia de Rossi as Veronica, Jonathan Slavin as Phil and Malcolm Barrett as Lem.
◊“Single with Parents” is a comedy about Lou, a woman in her mid-30s who is determined to have her own life despite her crazy blended family getting in the way. She’s thrilled that her divorced parents are leading exciting lives – really she is – except both of them rely on her way too much. Dad needs her as a surrogate parent and Mom counts on her 24/7 as a shrink and confidante. Lou has resolved to finally find a fulfilling life for herself. The series stars Alyssa Milano as Lou, Annie Potts as Elizabeth, Beau Bridges as Joe, Amanda Detmer as Sasha, Meagen Fay as Nancy and Eric Winter as Charlie.

‘American Idol’ adds another judge
Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi has joined “American Idol” as a fourth judge.
She will sit alongside Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson at the judges’ table and use her background as an award-winning songwriter and producer to praise or critique the wannabe hopefuls throughout the competition.
“We are turning the heat up on ‘Idol’ this year and are thrilled to welcome Kara to the judges’ table,” said creator and executive producer Simon Fuller. “She is a smart, sassy lady, and one of America’s most successful songwriters. We know she will bring a new level of energy and excitement to the show.”
Executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz said, “We had originally intended for ‘American Idol’ to have four judges. We’ve seen from our international series that having a fourth judge creates a dynamic that benefits both the contestants and the viewers.”
DioGuardi (pictured in Fox Photo above) is one of the industry’s most sought after songwriters and producers. Her songs have appeared on more than 100 million records and have been recorded by Grammy award-winning artists including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Santana, and Pink. Scores of major recording artists including Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Pussycat Dolls, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Natasha Bedingfield, Jewel, Ashley Tisdale, Katharine McPhee, Taylor Hicks, Bo Bice, Clay Aiken, Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Kylie Minogue, Enrique Iglesias, Nick Lachey and Marc Anthony have also released DioGuardi’s songs.
The eighth season of “American Idol” premieres in January.
