“True Hollywood Story” offers updates on Britney Spears

Britney Spears turned the music world upside down with a record-breaking string of number one singles, then very nearly lost everything in a long and drawn-out display of self-destructive behavior. The girl from Kentwood, La., won the hearts of millions of fans before she turned 21, but her tumultuous marriage to Kevin Federline started a public meltdown that alienated even her most loyal supporters.
Still, Britney has always been able to defy expectations – and instead of being written off as another casualty of fame, Spears is laying the groundwork for what could be one of pop’s biggest comebacks.
“Britney Spears: The E! True Hollywood Story,” premiering at 7 p.m. July 25, gives viewers an in-depth look inside the life of Britney with expert commentary from the people who have worked with her and those who know her best.
The two-hour episode will feature extensive paparazzi footage and exclusive interviews with agency owners and photographers who have widely photographed Britney. The special will bring viewers up-to-date on the very latest developments in Britney’s sometimes chaotic and hectic life. It will also include a look back at the star mom losing custody of her two children, younger sister Jamie Lynn’s teenage pregnancy and Britney’s triumphant return to television on the sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.”
