Oklahoma stations win Emmy Awards

   OETA-13 collected five statuettes at the 2008 Heartland Regional Emmy Awards handed out Saturday at simultaneous ceremonies in Denver and Oklahoma City.
   The Oklahoma City station was nominated for 14 Emmys, and two of OETA’s five awards were for its coverage and set design for the “Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular.”
   KFOR-4 was up for eight Emmys and won four, while KWTV-9 received six nominations and won three Emmys.
   The Heartland chapter of the National Television Academy was formed in 1986 and serves the television industry in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Denver, Wichita/Hutchinson, Omaha, Colorado Springs/Pueblo, Lincoln/Hastings-Kearney, Topeka, Grand Junction/Montrose, Cheyenne/Scottsbluff and North Platte.
