Nice observation about the Land O' Lakes. That didn't sink in with me, but there's no question that Weiner's intention was to draw a direct connection between father and daughter.

Also, I loved the conversation between Sally and Glenn about forever... Sally explains it through a Land O' Lakes logo.

Pondering eternity through an ad... yep, she's Draper's kid.

Finally caught up with this episode last night.

I have to admit the Kennedy call had me going for a bit, though I was thinking this was a little too pat for Don's proof-of-genius moment. The Cancer Society call was much more low key and befitting of Mad Men's tone.

Which brings me to your prediction/question. I was one who early this season predicted that Henry would meet a sudden and untimely demise. But while Mad Men has shown they are not afraid to, say, chop off a guy's foot in a John Deere mower, a murder storyline seems a little too Desperate Housewives for this show. I do think something dark and uncomfortable is going to happen involving Glenn, and I fear it's going to involve his wanting a "proper" goodbye from Sally. I'm thinking Betty will have to come to the rescue, forcing an uncomfortable but needed bonding between the two.

And the more I think about it, I wonder if MSR is really in the game to become Mrs. Draper, or the next Peggy Olsen? What if next year Peggy is forced to mentor MSR the way Don mentored her, except with the knowledge that MSR got the gig the old-fashioned way?

Thank you Kirby -- kind words, indeed. What I'm hearing/reading, unfortunately, is that "Breaking Bad" is probably not returning before July 2011. That seems terribly far away, like we're going to be using jetpacks before we get "Breaking Bad."

Elizabeth -- thank you for your scholarship on this one. You'll see that you're credited in an update.

"They’re 10,"

Actually, Sally is 11 and Glen is 14.

"He asks her what she thought of the ad."

Although in typical Draper ad, he is oblique about it. Don actually says something like "You didn't say anything about the ad."

Small tics in an otherwise amusing recap. I particularly like the Costanza reference. Well played!

This is the first episode I have missed all season. Your recap is brilliant! I love your wit and sense of humor, and quite accurate descriptions of the characters (Silver Ferret being my favorite!). I hope to catch the re-run this week and cannot wait for the finale. I'll be bummed until next season. Oh, wait: Breaking Bad should be right around the corner!
