Jonze produced the video for the Skateboard team Blind called “Video Days” which featured then legendary skateboarder Jason Lee (now of My Name is Earl Fame). Absolutely one of the best skatebaording videos ever. To another connected note, the Kittens were the greatest band to never make it big time. Don’t know why. Their music is timeless. Tyson Meade is a Rock God!

Someone else pointed out that Jonze did a couple underground skate videos before the Kittens video, but it’s still cool.

Wow, Jorge, I had no idea that was his first work. Not a particularly auspicious debut — the years have been good to him (although the Kittens RAWKED).

And another meaningless tidbit (which I’m sure you know): Jonze’s ex, Sofia Coppola, had her first directorial debut with another Oklahoma band, directing the Lips’ “This Here Giraffe” music video.
