Conan is a class act, and proves it yet again. I can only imagine that Leno has compromising photos of NBC executives. Or is it Comcast executives? Whatever the Rasputin-like hold Leno has on this batsh*t crazy network, it seems to be implacable.

I don’t think people will follow Leno if he splits NBC. He was the popular, harmless non-Letterman but it won’t work at another time or network. His time was up. NBC needs to realize this and stick with Conan.

It’s time for NBC to pay Conan the cash to move on. His voice alone is whats so horrible. And as he already mentioned his hair is horrible as well. The Tonight Show is not the same with the exit of Leno and Leno needs to come back and bring the rating with him that we all know will happen. Send Conan to FOX or another lower watched netowrk where he belongs

2 things about Conan’s letter:

I love that he begins an open resignation with “People of Earth.”

It’s sad to see how highly he regarded the franchise. It’s clear that he really saw “Tonight” as a tradition that he was carrying on, and it’s too bad that he was the only one who had reverence for it. I don’t see how Leno back under the Tonight Show brand could be seen as anything but a failure.
