I don’t have a problem with them releasing a short list of 10-15 films, like they do with the docs, then announcing the final 5 along with the other categories. Or on the broadcast featuring “other” great films (shortlist) that weren’t nominated. But letting the 8th “best” film slap an Oscar Nomination blurb on their ad kinda lessens the prestige for everyone.
