My guess is that an unnamed pinhead at one of the studios made the persuasive argument that people want to know what they're getting -- they don't want to sit through "Pay It Forward" and then get shocked when America's Favorite Child Actor Circa 2000 gets whacked. They want to know what they're buying. Sorry if that spoiled it for anyone, by the way. Or maybe I'm not. As for this particular film, I think of the Apatow films as being sort of "trailer"-proof. They are experiences rather than plot-heavy stories with Shyamalan Twists. Yeah, I know a little too much now, but it doesn't dissuade me from wanting to see it.
