Beastie Boys Remastered 20th Anniversary Edition of “Paul’s Boutique” Available Today
One of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, The Beastie Boys’ Paul’s Boutique, is now available through the band’s Web site in a fully-remastered version in 320 kbps lossless download. This is cause for celebration, since the original 1989 CD, while a wonder of dense Dust Brothers production and seamless flow, sounded flat in the original mastering — a common problem for ’80s CD issues. Now, Paul’s Boutique has the fat bass it always deserved.
Download it here. It’s just as great as you remember it — a true masterpiece. And as I have to say too often these days, yes, 20th Anniversary. Sigh.

Snap. I remember the 20th anniversary of the release of Sgt. Peppers. Now my ego’s on the floor. Does this count as the Beasties septuple-annual album?
“He went for his to find he didn’t have one”
No Rob, this doesn’t count as an actual release by our favorite creatures of leisure — a new album is due this summer. This is just to get you primed.
I wish I could afford the deluxe package that includes the remastered vinyl and an eight foot wide poster of the streets of Brooklyn.

you’re so OLD. Gawd! I mean, like OLLLLLLLD.
