Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!
As the entire world now knows, Marcia Brady went through a pretty rough coke-whore period. Maureen McCormick, better-known as ”The Brady Bunch”‘s Marcia Brady, admits in a new tell-all book that she was so addicted to cocaine, she traded sex for the white stuff.
What strikes me is the snarky reaction of Eve Plumb, who portrayed poor-put-upon middle-sister Jan — you remember, the one who always resented her too-perfect older sister.

What can you do if someone thinks they are right in their lifestyle and personal direction ?
She seems to have belived in the 60 counter culture lifestyle
Snarky Eve Plumb apparently was the only one who hasn’t messed up he life. She’s a pretty darn good artist nowadays.
Well, I have bought the book, and am reading it, but i haven’t yet gotten to the parts referred to in the Globe and Mail:
‘her envy of Eve Plumb’s (who played Jan) “boobs.” Of Plumb, she also observes that she “farted all the time,” and walked around naked on the set; and further expresses regret that she confided a lesbian moment with Plumb on a syndicated radio show, because it was all a “joke.”‘
Considering that Eve these days basically just wants to sell her paintings and have fun off and on with her Brady character, it’s no wonder that she really doesn’t want to comment on much of Marcia’s — sorry, I mean Maureen’s – stories. And by the way, she’s never said that she had a “lesbian moment” with Eve, she’s only said that she’s kissed everyone on the set, and in a nonsexual way. The references she’s made to crushes on the set have been in relation to Barry Williams (Greg).
Not to put Maureen down at all — she’s writing in her voice and from her own experiences — but can you imagine Eve answering questions about not only whether or not she kissed Maureen, but about her boobs, etc, etc?
Eve also followed a very different path in the 70s, especially with her role in Dawn, Portrait of a Teenage Runaway, which was basically an after school special with some pretty good lessons on the dangers of being a runaway, prostitution, drug use, etc. That’s another reason why Eve might have been somewhat estranged from Maureen even then — they were obviously following very different paths in their lives.
Or they all knew and never spilled the beans before.
And Marsha just wants the spotlight now regardless of how she has to get it.
Who cares about her hard life… growing up with money.
Give me a break.
