The event is from 6 to 9 tonight with tax-free shopping, plus 10 percent off cosmetics and fragrance. This is the biggest discount Balliet’s has ever offered on cosmetics.

Tuesday, October 28, 6-9 PM

Balliet’s is celebrating its 72nd anniversary Sept. 18 with a party that features tax-free shopping all day. There will be a drawing for a $500 gift certificate and makeup events with Bobbi Brown, Trish McEvoy and Laura Mercier, as well as a trunk show with BeJe jewelry.

Food, fun and refreshments will be offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Balliet’s is at 50 Penn Place, NW Expressway and Pennsylvania. The phone number is 848-7811.
