Shopping for a reason
Karen Swyden, Development Specialist, Deaconess Pregnancy and Adoption Services, noted that April 2 from 6 until 8 p.m. there will be shopping, fun, door prizes and refreshments at the 42nd Street Candy Company, 4200 N Western, Oklahoma City
“42nd Street Candy Company has teamed up with Deaconess Pregnancy and Adoption Services to offer assistance to women in unplanned pregnancies with food, clothing and shelter as well as counseling and educational scholarships. 20% of sales will benefit DPAS,” she said in a press release.
Each month, a different retailer will participate in “1st Thursday @ 6 p.m.…Shopping for Reason.” For more information, call 949-4200 and ask for Karen or go to www.deaconessadoption.org
