A sale: Balliet’s anniversary bash
Forget parades. I love a sale.
Balliet’s is celebrating its 72nd anniversary Sept. 18 with a party that features tax-free shopping all day. There will be a drawing for a $500 gift certificate and makeup events with Bobbi Brown, Trish McEvoy and Laura Mercier, as well as a trunk show with BeJe jewelry.
Food, fun and refreshments will be offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Balliet’s is at 50 Penn Place, NW Expressway and Pennsylvania. The phone number is 848-7811.

I wouldn’t shop there if it was the last place on earth! The owners have been terrible to many ex-employees. I have boycotted this store for two years now!! Had been a loyal customer for over 25 years. These people are only nice to “some” customers and definitely not for their female, mostly single, employees!
