Blago’s antics
Too bad they don’t have live television cameras in the courtroom where former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is on trial for corruption. It sounds like some O.J. Simpson-like entertainment is going on. Jurors got an earful of Blago in December 2008, yelling at his campaign chief older brother, Robert, about the need for more campaign cash. What a pair! Robert can be heard yelling back that if Rod is so worried about funds he could nix sending out poinsettias and Christmas pictures. The Rod & Rob Show took another funny turn when the judge in the case told Rod to sit still and stop gesturing during the testimony of former chief of staff Alonzo “Lon” Monk. Blago sit still? Maybe if they put him in a straitjacket.

Edgar is right. The BP oil spill is Cheney’s Katrina. What he couldn’t pass in Congress he bypassed by stocking te regulatory agencies with industry friendly regulators who looked the other way with respect to BP complying with the regulations which were already on the books. Staffing the regulatory agencies with industry friendly regulators wa the major factor in the Global Fininacial industy meltdown.
ha ha, good try in your idiotic video of making the Gulf calamity into Obama’s Katrina. Little different plugging a well a mile deep and dropping a pallet of food and water to desperate dying people. Don’t believe Obama trained in petro engineering, and the people that are the experts are struggling to figure it out. You well know this disaster caused by an unregulated industry in the anything goes bush/cheney years. The well drilled in 2003. The safeguards that would have prevented this calamity crime against nature deemed “too costy and unnecessary.” What could possibly go wrong. If you’re going to do outrageous partisan pieces, give folks a chance to respond. What are you afraid of.
