School’s out in Leonard

No students showed up at the Leonard school this year. All 14 of them transferred to other schools as they wait for voters to either annex the district to nearby Bixby or for state education officials to permanently shut the school down, the Tulsa World reported. State records for last school year shows 32 certified staff and 23 students. That’s right. The students were outnumbered. Tell us again why consolidation would be such a bad thing?
