Retail, restaurants likely to make cuts due to new health law, Wall Street Journal report says

Businesses in the retail and restaurant industries are more likely than other industries to reduce workers’ hours or drop their health plans when new health-law requirements take effect in 2014, according to a Wall Street Journal article published Wednesday. In a survey of more than 1,200 employers, about 9% of retail and hospitality employers were planning to drop existing health plans, compared to 6% of other companies. Retail employers also said they would consider cutting employees’ hours to avoid penalties. Read the entire article here.
