Sustainable Seafood

The seafood rating system used by Whole Foods.

This Sept. 10, 2010, file photo, shows a “Seafood Watch” sign with a color-coded rating program hangs over the seafood counter in Whole Foods in Hillsboro, Ore. Whole Foods Market says it will stop selling fish caught from depleted waters or through ecologically damaging methods, a move that comes as supermarkets nationwide try to make their seafood selections more sustainable.
