This is indefensible!! To make things worse the pastor actually had the nerve to say he caved into the bigots because he was afraid of losing his job. The rest of the church is just as much to blame because they, by their own admission, were the majority and did not stand up to the minority. To have to pray for God’s will just further shows their ignorance of God. And to say that all colors are welcome ? why would they come if they cannot enjoy all the benefits and would obviously be second class citizens. By the way, I am white. I am just completely embarrassed to be a Baptist, and I am really getting sick and tired of having to defend the church against all the idiot churches out there–they rank right up there with Westboro as far as I am concerned!!!
