The show did not (in any way) represent the American Muslim in the United States of America. The families chosen for this series are not following the correct traditions, which some are mandatory for men and women. The woman were not wearing hijab which is "mandatory" for women in Islam, and the men did not have beards, which is also "mandatory". The women were basically naked, and one mentioned she wanted to open a bar (that serves alcohol). None of this is allowed in Islam, so to call oneself "Muslim" and then make these statements or not be modest in dress cannot be the Muslim in America that represents our religion.

The producers are way off on this one! Looking for the show to be cancelled very soon!

I am looking forward to this show dispelling negative stereotypes. This is long, long overdue. I have high hopes for the show and hope that it opens many eyes.
I must say I was, however, disappointed in the "educator's" comment about the lady who needed to get her "ass" off the plane because she was going to educate people like her. I share the feeling and I'm certainly not opposed to using any words---but I think it would have served better to state her feelings professionally. Of course, I don't know the whole situation.
Best of luck for a great show!
