I watch quality TV on gmc. They have been advertising all week about the upcoming movie “Heaven’s Rain” on Sunday, April 22. I was unaware of this crime of 1979 and did some reading up on it. How horrific a murder! But God commands us to love the person, hate the sin. The criminals are both dead now but the pain for the victims remain. I am so looking forward to seeing this movie and its message on forgiveness.It can’t be easy.

Is Heaven’s Rain on DVD or VCR form that can be purchased? I would love to see the movie. Also is there a book available? Thank you so much.

How does he as a Christian reconcile putting into legislation a law that makes it possible for victims to watch the deaths of their perpetrators? This film sends a mixed message. Obviously forgiveness is a virtue only God can provide. The death penalty is murder and he knows it and he watched. God says anyone can be redeemed. By his own admission one assailant was very remorseful while the other was not. Who knows, had he stayed alive, he could’ve had the chance to realize his grave mistake.

This is one movie I don’t think I can watch.
