Pilot knew somebody was praying
We’ve heard that lots of passengers on US Airways Flight 1549, the plane that crashed into New York’s Hudson River last month, were praying.
Well it looks like the plane’s pilot knew they would be doing just that as the plane began its harrowing unexpected descent.
The US Airways pilot Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger was the subject of the Religion News Service’s Quote of the Day today:
“I would imagine somebody in back was taking care of that for me while I was flying the airplane,” Sullenberger told Katie Couric of CBS’ “60 Minutes” when she asked, “Did you, at any point, pray?”
