Hanson to start against Brew Crew
Tulsa born Tommy Hanson will make his big league debut for the Braves Saturday night against Milwaukee.
Hanson has been dominant in Triple-A with 90 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings of work. Teams are batting just .169 against him. The Braves made room for Hanson by cutting ties with Tom Glavine who has been unable to come back from injury.
Hanson is one of the top pitching prospects in baseball.
Hanson has allowed a meager .169 batting-average against him this season, striking out 90 in 66 1/3 innings. He is a Fantasy ace immediately upon his call-up. Frankly, Hanson deserved to make the rotation out of spring training, but the Braves have allowed him time to season in Triple-A. Once he arrives, like David Price, he won’t be going back down. Get him active in daily leagues for this Saturday’s start against Milwaukee’s Jeff Suppan. He should also be activated in all mixed leagues for Fantasy Week 10 (June 8-14).
