Oklahoma Lawmakers Vote to Repeal Health Care Law
All five members of Oklahoma’s all-Republican delegation in the U.S. House voted Thursday to repeal the 2009 health care law. The 229-195 vote to repeal in the GOP-controlled House was symbolic. The Senate, controlled by Democrats, will not consider repeal.

Rep. James Lankford: Here’s What We Learned From House Benghazi Hearing
Rep. James Lankford, R-Oklahoma City, is a member of the House Oversight Committee, which held a hearing last week on the killings of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans at the U.S. mission in Benghzi, Libya last September. The four were killed in an organized attack by a group armed with grenades and automatic weapons.

Rep. James Lankford Criticizes Administration Decision on Insure Oklahoma
Rep. James Lankford, R-Oklahoma City, said Thursday he was disappointed in the Obama administration’s decision not to allow Oklahoma to continue a program that helped provide health insurance to employees of small businesses.
The state was informed this week that it will not get a waiver to continue the program under the health care law. The program, which has used revenue from the tobacco settlement to subsidize insurance at participating small businesses, will stop operating at the end of this year.…

Rep. James Lankford Mourns Death of Edmond Native SSgt. Rex Schad
Rep. James Lankford, R-Oklahoma City, issued a statement Wednesday about the killing of SSgt Rex Schad, an Edmond native shot in Afghanistan on Monday during a firefight started by a man dressed as a member of the Afghan police force. Schad graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 2005.
“I am grieved by the loss of another Oklahoma son in Afghanistan,” said Lankford.

Oklahoma Congressional Offices Will Have Weekend Hours For Inauguration Tickets
Members of Oklahoma’s congressional delegation are planning to have their Capitol Hill offices open at times this weekend so Oklahomans can pick up their tickets to President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony on Monday. Not all of the offices will be open on Monday.
The lawmakers are encouraging those who have already reserved tickets to pick them up on the weekend. All of the tickets allotted to the lawmakers have been reserved. Some offices have started waiting lists.

Rep. James Lankford Only Oklahoman Voting Against Fiscal Cliff Deal
Rep. James Lankford, R-Oklahoma City, was the only member of Oklahoma’s congressional delegation who voted against the fiscal cliff deal on Tuesday. Both of Oklahoma’s senators supported it, and four of the five House members voted aye late Tuesday night.
Among the four House members supporting it were outgoing Reps. Dan Boren, D-Muskogee, and John Sullivan, R-Tulsa. Both of those members will be leaving the House on Thursday, when their replacements will be sworn in.
