Women Voters

A woman questioner gave President Obama a chance to hit one out of the park with the question about unequal pay for women since the president did, as he said, sign a bill that will lengthen the time women have to sue for pay discrimination. But the discussion then went far afield as both tried to appeal to perhaps the most important segment of voters right now: undecided women. Mitt Romney broadened the answer to the economy as a whole and the number of women who have lost their jobs.…

Already on the Attack

President Barack Obama came out swinging on the first question, bringing up Mitt Romney’s opposition to the Detroit bail-out even though, presumably, the college student who asked the question won’t be seeking a car factory job. In all, a totally different attitude from the president.

And Candy Crowley is following up the question. Like she said she would.

Pressure is On

Much is at stake in the second presidential debate tonight, as President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are locked in a very tight race, both nationally and in the swing states that will decide the election on Nov. 6. Red Lines – Israel and Iran

Markwayne Mullin Tapped to Give National Republican Address

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, has chose Markwayne Mullin, the Republican nominee in the 2nd District congressional race in Oklahoma, to give the weekly GOP address on Saturday. Mullin is facing Democrat Rob Wallace and Independent Michael G. Fulks in the Nov. 6 election to replace retiring Rep. Dan Boren, D-Muskogee.
