Thursday filing slows
Historically the second day of filing has been slow with the vast majority of candidates getting their names in for offices on the first day.
Only three candidates filed in the first hour Thursday, compared with more than 50 in the first hour on Wednesday.
In other presidential election years, around 40 or 50 people have filed for election on the second day of filing.
The three candidates who had filed Thursday morning were incumbent Skye McNiel, a Republican from Bristow for state House District 29; Bobby Cleveland, a Republican from Slaughterville for state House District 20; and Jerry Rains, a Democrat from Muskogee House District 14.
