Former Congressional Budget Official Lauds Sen. Tom Coburn’s Medicare Plan
A former Congressional Budget Office analyst, now a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, has written a piece praising the Medicare reform plan unveiled Thursday by Sens. Tom Coburn, R-Muskogee, and Richard Burr, R-North Carolina.

Putting Tom Coburn and a guy named Burr in charge of micro-managing the ka-ching of health care for seniors is like putting Roseanne Barr in charge of the choir. Free market forces in health care were tried in the days of pre-Medicare when private enterprise saw no profitable reason to extend affordable care insurance to persons aged 65 or older. We have paid our premiums. We demand the government fulfill its part of the bargain we have been paying for. Welshing is not an option.
